In the framework of the External Borders Fund as part of the common European security system for external borders is constructed Border Police airbase.
The construction meets the requirements for protection of classified information.
Airbase includes: Administrative building for staff and management of Specialized Unit for aerial surveillance; Hangar for 4 pcs. helicopters; Platforms in front of hangars; Taxiways; Garage for office and special vehicles; Specialized workshops; Boiler room for diesel and gas; Internal vehicles lanes; Engineering infrastructure.
The hangar is single-hull hall with steel bearing structure and is faced with fire-resistant thermo panels. There are installed 4 doors for helicopters with width – 1x22,00 m. and 3x15,00 m. The height of the door is 7.00 m. The doors are folding, the opening is a vertical axis (up).
Specialized workshops are built in the low building attached to the hangar. Here are located the laboratories, warehouses, office, mechanical workshop and bathroom for employees of workshops and hangar. In the western part of this building are constructed cell for vehicles for towing and boiler room. There is built connection (fire door) from the cell for cars for towing to the hangar. In the boiler room is located the diesel and heating boiler, with the possibility of heating with gas and diesel.
In the course of the building of specialized workshops, separated by dilatation joint thereof, is constructed garage which provides 9 parkings for office cars.
The administrative building intended for general administration, specialized staff and training premises, has three floors plus semi-dug basement.
It consists of cabinets and a conference room for briefings about 50 people, equipped with sound system and recording system, changing rooms for pilot personnel, a hall for physical training, locker rooms with WC and showers, store at room for physical training, warehouses, room server and UPS, offices, guest room with office equipment, room for planning, classroom for group Helicopter and Engine, room to check the data of objective control, medical office with manipulation, room of operational duty, dining room.
Interior doors of workplaces are from MDF. Internal windows, hall and stairs doors are aluminum with a single glass, the exterior doors- windows are aluminum with thermal break and glass unit.
The doors to the stairwells are smoke-tight, fitted with self-closing mechanism. The windows are plastic, five-chamber profile with glass unit.
The site is the first category according to the classification of Art. 137 of LSP.
