Description of activities:
Built-up area - 9,588 m²; external area - 25,600 m²
The project represents an outstanding example of creating a unique school building and for sustainable “green” construction enhances nature.
The project consists of a main building - a library, classrooms, laboratories, support facilities; checkpoint; building for the rest of the drivers; lake for discharge of rain waters; artificial swamp for treatment of wastewater for domestic use; parking; sport pitches and a modern gym; landscaping; green roofs; photovoltaic and solar panels for electricity production and hot water for domestic use; complete renovation of the existing kitchen and dining room.
Some of the most notable features of the project include:
Using a high percentage of recycled materials in construction;
Over 50 % of the wood used is from sustainably managed forests;
Over 20% percent of the materials are of local origin (radius 800 km);
When construction is achieved and high recycling rates – around 65 % of materials are diverted to reuse;
Water -based strategy of the natural water cycle, which comprises:
School buildings earned Gold certificate under the American system for the assessment of environmental impact and comfort of habitation LEED.
